Project U92

Spannar Thoughts

We have had difficulties on Msn, and so I want to hear out your thoughts on further improving our story for Project U92.

As we all know, our pre-production is not as great as some other group's. And I think there are still alot of space for improvements for our story. But I know when it comes to production and post-production, we'll excel.

What I suggested on Msn was adding suspense and variety to what U92 is capable of other than hitting people with his hand.

Ask yourself this question, are we doing it for the audience, or for ourselves? Which will benefit us more?

Here's what I think, if we do it for the audience, our story has to be probably, short and sweet or short and bitter. For this approach we won't be able to show much and if the story isn't nice, then it'll be a bigger downfall. But if we pull it off, then the audience will probably remember it for a very long time.

If we're doing it for ourselves, it'll probably be long and wow or long and boring. If it's long we'll end up with learning so much more from mistakes and failures we will encounter. Since a longer film will be more prone to making more mistakes. Now whether or not we can keep the audience staring at the monitor with awe from start to end is another story.

So now it is between a good story vs a wow factor.

And knowing us, we'll probably want to do both, having a good story and wowing the audience from start to end. Why do we have to choose between working on this film for an audience or ourselves when we can do it for both?

If that is the case, in my humble opinion, why give up now when our story can still be improved? Unless you think our story is good enough, then I have no say.

Aik Sern has given us the go for a 5min 30sec short film, reconfirmations will be made next week when we see him again.

Perhaps during refinement we'll be adding more scenes in, but remember we can also cut out scenes. Yes, the scenes we created, I know it is hard to let go of them, but if it means improving our story, I'm willing to discard them. But I don't know about the rest of the members.

So I will leave this to the members of Spannar to vote and voice out. Whether or not our story is good enough, or do we need to refine it more.

As for me, I will follow the majority with an open heart.

P/S : Meeting time has been confirmed, it will be on Tuesday, 11am. Since we are such nice people.

End of Update.
Thanks.
